[Updated] Dungeons & Dragons (DND) Beyond servers down, not working or characters screen not loading? You're not alone

Dungeons & Dragons (also known as ‘DND’) is an iconic role-playing game franchise. It has been around for decades in the form of classic board games and adaptations to digital platforms.

Players have multiple tools available that make it easy for them to set up games. For example, one of the most popular is DND Beyond, the official companion app for Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition.

However, currently many Dungeons & Dragons players are unable to access their characters through DND Beyond as it is down or not loading.

According to multiple reports, DND Beyond Character Interface is inaccessible or not working at the moment. This means that players cannot view or modify their previously created characters.

Title pretty much says it all. Unable to load character data, but all else works (sourcbooks, stuff search, etc.). Or is this just a Germany/EU issue?

is anyone else experiencing issues with the character app in @DnDBeyond? i’ve refreshed the page so many times and tried opening it in a different tab and it’s still not working 🙁

Also, for some players, the platform is not loading any section.

There is still no official acknowledgment of this issue from the DND Beyond team. We will update this story as events unfold.

10:05 am (IST): According to fresh reports (1, 2, 3), DND Beyond servers are currently down or not working for a section of gamers.

07:00 pm (IST): The recent outage with DND Beyond servers has reportedly been resolved.

08:24 am (IST): Multiple reports indicate that the DND Beyond servers are currently down or not working (1, 2, 3).

12:00 pm (IST): Since no new reports related to the outage have surfaced in a few hours, it seems that DND Beyond servers are already working properly.

08:34 pm (IST): It appears that some users (1,2,3,4) still aren’t able to access Character Sheets in the game and there’s still no fix despite the devs acknowledging the problem several hours ago.

10:32 am (IST): According to a recent acknowledgment from DND Beyond support, devs are still working on implementing the fix and players may still face intermittent issues accessing their characters.

We are aware of ongoing issues with accessing character sheets. While our teams implement a fix you may see sporadic interruptions. If you have a session in the next day we suggest saving characters to PDF just in case. We’ll keep you posted & thank you for your patience! (Source)
