World War Z recently received the version 1.41 update fixing some of the known issues.
For instance, the update fixed the issues where some players got the ‘save data is invalid’ error after a save transfer and where stealth gameplay would break after players fired guns with silencers equipped.
However, some gamers are still experiencing difficulties while playing the ‘Undying’ weekly challenge.
World War Z: Aftermath ‘Undying’ weekly challenge bugged
Some players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are facing an issue while playing the ‘Undying’ weekly challenge in the game.
It is alleged that the Undying modifier is broken, as the Lurkers and Screamers zombies have very high hit points, which makes it difficult to kill them.
This issue surfaced after the recently launched ‘Undying’ weekly event. Apparently, every time one tries to kill a special zombie, their health or hit points get doubled.
Also, some are experiencing a drop in the game’s framerate as well.
Another player on Twitter claims that despite shooting at the zombies with four fully loaded gun clips, they were unable to defeat them.
A Redditor also shared an instance where they were unable to kill a single zombie even after firing 150 rounds with their firepower 9 AK weapon.
Due to this, players are unable to complete the ‘Undying’ weekly challenge.
When shooting a Thumper GL into a horde of zombies, it doesn’t kill any zombies at all and gives a white hitmarker. It doesn’t give XP at all either so I know it’s not killing them.

Official response
Fortunately, Saber Interactive is aware of the issue and currently working on it. However, no official ETA for the fix has been provided.
We hope the developers resolve the problem soon so that players can enjoy the weekly challenges as intended.
That said, we’ll keep tabs on the issues with the World War Z Aftermath Undying challenge and update this article accordingly.
