OnePlus announced the Android-13-based OxygenOS 13 update in August 2022.
At the time of the announcement, it was revealed that mobile phones ranging from the OnePlus 8 to the OnePlus 10, along with the Nord series phones, would receive it.
Indeed, the OS started rolling out shortly after to the OnePlus 10 Pro for open beta testers and a few days later, the closed beta arrived for even more OnePlus phones.
Now, even though some smartphones have recently gotten the stable update, those who bought eligible OnePlus phones in the US through T-Mobile are yet to receive it.

T-Mobile OnePlus 9, 10T, & 10 Pro users still waiting for Android 13 (OxygenOS 13) update release
Some users (1,2,3,4,5,6) have taken to web forums to express their concerns regarding the same.
A Redditor posits that it’s been more than 5 months since the official announcement, but T-Mobile is yet to make the update available.
It has also been alleged that the carrier updates Samsung smartphones more frequently than any other smartphone.
Customers feel that such low-level support is not what one would expect for such an expensive or premium range of phones.

Don’t know why it takes SOOOO LONG for updates on one plus phones from T-Mobile.. Shameful.. if u can afford it, it’s best to go unlocked.. Got the 10 pro at 478 unlocked from best buy and already on Android 13 I think since October.

Kind of sad, really. The unlocked model has had it for over 3 months. I’ve been watching the Android 13 development link via T-Mobile but it literally hasn’t moved. I’m sure we’re probably 2 months minimum out before they deploy.

It is also interesting to note that the update for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 10 series is still ‘under development’, at least according to T-Mobile’s official website.
Also, since the OS has not even moved to the ‘Testing stage’, you might have to wait a while longer before getting your hands on stable OxygenOS 13.

This is not the first time that T-Mobile has taken such a casual approach to the system updates as users had also faced such issues before the Android 11 update was finally released for previous OnePlus mobiles.
Earlier, we had also conducted a poll on the topic and 88% of readers claimed to be dissatisfied with T-Mobile and OnePlus update cycle.
But it looks like the companies never took the feedback seriously.
Potential workaround
Fortunately, we did come across a hack that may help solve your problem. You can try to flash the new update via an EU ROM.
But you will need to make sure that you have unlocked the phone’s bootloader before you can proceed with flashing the ROM.

It is also recommended that you take a backup of any important data on your phone as a safety measure.
We do hope that T-Mobile will soon release Android 13 (OxygenOS 13) update for the OnePlus 9, 10T, and 10 Pro users.
That said we’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
