[Update: Jan. 30] Groww app not working or orders not getting executed issue acknowledged, fix in the works

Groww is facing some serious technical difficulties at the moment due to which the app is not working properly. Users say that transactions are failing and that shares are not being shown in the holding following a purchase.

Not only that, but traders are unable to sell their shares which is resulting in losses, especially for the day traders. In short, yesterday’s confirmed orders are not showing and no new orders are getting executed today.

Angry users have therefore taken to social media to demand compensation for the losses incurred. Some have also reported that the app isn’t showing the right info and its price graphs are inaccurate.

If you are one of the users waiting on any official status update regarding the issue, then you will be relieved to know that Groww’s official Twitter handle has stated that they’re working to get it resolved at the earliest.

Moreover, the Groww app on Android is now showing a new banner atop that says that the platform is currently facing connectivity issues.

Not only that but a workaround of sorts has also been given out. Groww says that a simple restart of the app should allow you to place orders and see your holdings.

If that doesn’t help, then you can also try clearing the app’s cache and force-stopping it as an alternative.

Still no fix? Then being a server-side issue means that there’s little to nothing other than the aforementioned that can be done from your end so all you got to do now is to wait for Groww to sort this mess out.

12:00 pm (IST): Many Groww app users have stormed Twitter to complain that the app hasn’t been working for over an hour. Fortunately, the company seems to be aware of the situation and is working on a fix.

Update 2 (October 12, 2021)

09:54 am (IST): Users of the Groww app are now facing issues with the app as many note that they’re stuck at an endless loading screen.

Social media is also awash with said reports. These cries have reached Groww and in response to one of the affected persons, the platform goes to acknowledge this bug.

Update 3 (January 10, 2022)

09:58 am (IST): Several users of Groww are now reporting that the app is either not working or crashing for them. Here are some reports for reference:

12:26 pm (IST): Groww support team has now confirmed that the previously reported app crashing or not working issue is now resolved.

Update 5 (January 14, 2022)

09:43 am (IST): Some users are now reporting yet another issue with the Groww app. Users say that they are unable to login into the app and when they do it shows an error that says ‘Sorry! Something went wrong’.

@_groww unable to login into app… Saying no internet and I have the strong connection… When I use touch it stuck at that page… (Source)

Update 6 (April 06, 2022)

10:04 am (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter (1, 2, 3) to report that the Groww app is down or not working for them.

Fortunately, the support team has acknowledged the issue and said that they are working to resolve it.

09:38 am (IST): It appears that the recent issue with the Groww app is resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports on Twitter.

Update 8 (November 8, 2022)

10:07 am (IST): According to multiple reports on Twitter, Groww is currently down or not working for many.

Luckily, Groww support has acknowledged the outage and confirmed that they are working to resolve it.

09:15 am (IST): Fresh reports (1,2,3,4) suggest that the Groww app and website are currently experiencing server-related issues.
