Google recently announced that it is shutting down Optimize, a tool that helps marketers and webmasters increase visitor conversion rates and overall visitor satisfaction.

In a blog post, Google confirmed that the Google Optimize and Optimize 360 will no longer be available after September 30, 2023.

However, they will be fully functional until then. And any experiments or personalization that is still active on that date will end.

For those unaware, Google Optimize was formerly known as Google Website Optimizer and it allows webmasters and marketers to design experiments and let them access WYSIWYG editor for the versions tested in experiments.

The free version of Optimize lets you run a few experiments at the same time. But you’ll have to upgrade to Optimize 360 (a paid version) to get more out of this tool.

Following the announcement of its termination, many who use this tool are unhappy and already looking for alternatives. Below are some reports from Google Optimize users.

Google Optimize alternatives:

Although Google Optimize is a very popular tool and has been the first choice for marketers and webmasters for a long time, there are several other tools that offer the same service.

However, they might not be as capable as Optimize, but one of these tools can surely get your job done. You can check them out below.

1. Optimizely: They claim that their Web Experimentation has a wider and more established set of capabilities. Plus, they are offering discounts for those who switch from Google Optimize.

2. Google Analytics 4: If you want to stick to Google, then Google Analytics 4 also serves as an alternative for Optimize and it is available for free.

3. Visual website optimizer: It’s another paid alternative where marketers can run A/B tests on their website, apps, and products.

4. AB Tasty: Offering service to popular brands such as Disney, Lo Real, and Calvin Klein, AB Tasty is another alternative you can check.

5. Convert: Last but not the least, Convert is also a popular tool and an alternative to Google Optimize. It offers a 15-days trial that does not require any credit card, so you can try it out and see if it fits your needs.
