Fntastic’s The Day Before is a graphically stunning online multiplayer game about survival in a post-pandemic America where zombies have taken over.
The game was set to release on March 1, 2023, on Steam until it wasn’t. It seems that in a recent turn of events, the game has completely disappeared from the platform.
Apparently, the launch has been paused or rather postponed till November 10 owing to a legal or trademark issue. The same has also been confirmed by the developers.
According to the official statement from the game’s creators, a private individual blocked the Steam game page. It appears that the applicant submitted a trademark application before the game’s team in January 2021.
Resultantly, the developers have seemingly delayed the launch of the game to deal with the legal battle.
Conspiracies surrounding The Day Before delay
However, this notice hasn’t gone down well within the gamers’ community and a number of people find it quite unsettling. Some are rather suspicious of the matter at hand (1,2,3,4,5,6).
So they announced the game without buying the trademark name…sounds fishy or just straight up mismanagement from a business perspective

Nah, they lied about it being a glitch and they’re lying now. I’m glad to see most of this community is also skeptical, because everything about this is shady bullshit.

Even more suspicious is the lack of a gameplay preview given that the game was scheduled to debut in March.
Several people have also taken to Twitter (1,2,3,4,5,6) to unabashedly troll and criticize the announcement released by The Day Before devs.
Fans have formed their own conspiracy theories regarding this on social media because they do not believe this statement at all. They are convinced that everything is in fact a pretext for extending the game.
So far, the developers haven’t responded to any of the allegations made by fans about The Day Before delay so far. But it’ll be interesting to see whether the team breaks its silence on the matter or not.
We’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article as and when something pops up.
