The recent iFit update that was rolled out in December has caused major issues for users of NordicTrack and Proform treadmills.

Some have reported (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) that their treadmills have bricked as a result of the update, with the screens frozen on the iFit logo.

Treadmill stuck on white iFit screen. I have a three year old commercial 1750 treadmill. I never joined ifit and only use it in the manual mode. Yesterday the white iFit screen came on and it won’t go any further. If I push the start or stop buttons it will beep and I can turn the fan on and off.

The incline and decline also works…I just can’t get the machine to actually start. I tried the reset process and it just blinks black and then the white screen comes on and stays on. I’m annoyed! Has anyone successfully fixed this?

Ifit update corrupted my machine. On 12/14/2022 an ifit update corrupted my commercial 1750 treadmill console. I got the supported API 3 error and was informed by the company I had to buy a new console. I was charged $625.76—still waiting for even a receipt of my purchase let alone tracking number for the shiptment.

Can anyone who this happened to post: 1. the machine they have 2. their purchase date and the 3.date the ifit update corrupted their device? Seems fishy that a company can send an update corrupt a device and keep a consumer they know was capable of purchasing a $2000 machine on the hook for several hundred more dollars. There needs to be accountability. Also seems as though ppl have had this happen over several months…

The issue has been widely reported by users across social media platforms and online forums, with many expressing frustration at the lack of response from iFit and NordicTrack.

The problem appears to be related to a software update that was pushed out to users’ treadmills, which has caused the machines to become inoperable.

The cause of the problem is not yet known, but it appears to be affecting a wide range of models of NordicTrack treadmills.

As a result of the issues caused by the iFit update, a class action lawsuit has been filed against the company.

The lawsuit, which was filed by the Sauder Schelkopf law firm, alleges that the software update left fitness equipment totally inoperable and that iFit failed to properly test the update before releasing it to users.

The lawsuit also claims that iFit failed to provide adequate support to users who were affected by the update and has resulted in a very inconvenient situation for those who rely on their treadmills for daily exercise.

Some have reported that they have been without their treadmill for sometime now, and have not yet been able to get a replacement or get in touch with the support team.

On the other hand, some have reported that they have been offered a replacement machine through a chat with the support team.

I filed a support tix Jan 9th, radio silence and unable to get through on phone, tried the chat today (“need help?” button in the bottom right corner of ifit ‘support’ page) and only had to wait about 15 mins. Did get transferred to diff chat agents a couple times but when I got to “software” agent they asked for a pic and pretty much immediately ordered me a replacement for no cost.

So if anyone else is still trying to navigate this, maybe try the chat and DONT pay for a new console, even if your machine is out of warranty.

Even after multiple complaints and a class action lawsuit against iFit, the company has yet to provide a proper solution for this problem.
