Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has once again become the talk of the town. This time, some gamers are reportedly facing issues because of the game’s high time to kill.

TTK (Time-to-Kill) is the amount of time it takes for a person to kill or get killed by an opponent.

It is quite interesting to note that ever since the MW2 beta dropped, players have been complaining about the fast Time to Kill (TTK) as it ends up ruining the gameplay for some.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple players are facing an issue with the Modern Warfare 2’s Time To Kill.

Due to this issue, players are finding it difficult to combat their opponents as they are generally overpowered. This makes the gameplay less enjoyable for some.

A major section of players is demanding that TTK be increased so that players get more time to kill their opponent.

Players believe that developers should either increase the ‘health base’ or the TTK as soon as possible.

Some are also demanding that the developers nerf the melee lunge, fix their servers, or work on optimizing the game. Such changes will make the gameplay fair and more enjoyable.

However, it is interesting to note that a section of players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) are completely fine with the TTK.

Those who have played some of the previous games in the Call of Duty series like the game as it is and do not favor any changes.

The problem is the netcode

Some players (1,2,3,4,5,6) are of the view that the problem occurs due to inconsistencies within the game’s net code and lag compensation.

Some Redditors say that there’s a delay between what you see and what your opponents see. In an ideal world, TTD (Time To Die) and TTK (Time To Kill) should be equal.

But due to game server and other code issues, these are sometimes unbalanced.

Some gamers are also waiting for the next major update due to be launched in mid-February and have high expectations from it.

No official response

It should also be noted that there’s no official word on the matter. But we do hope that they address these concerns sooner or later.
