Spotify has once again become the talk of the town as some smart TV users are reportedly facing issues with the platform.

This time, users complain that the app’s UI or the display appears zoomed in, making it difficult for some to navigate and use it.

Spotify display or UI zoomed in on Android TV & Google TV

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8), multiple users are facing this problem. The UI is enlarged to such an extent that it makes using the app practically impossible.

Due to this issue, some are unable to tune in to their favorite podcast shows or enjoy playing the songs they like.

A Chromecast user also complained that the Spotify app had zoomed in so much that only the top right corner was visible to them.

Another claimed that the display or scaling issue was affecting some other streaming apps for them as well.

It is worth noting that the issue was first reported by 9to5Google and has been affecting Smart TV owners for the past few days.

Even though some have tried logging out and signing back in, clearing app cache, reinstalling the app, and updating their Smart TV to the latest patch, nothing seemed to work for them.

Fortunately, Spotify is aware of the issue and is currently investigating it. Although, no official ETA for a fix has been provided.

Potential Workaround

We were also able to get our hands on a workaround that may help some Smart TV owners get rid of this annoying issue.

If applicable to your case, it is recommended downgrading the Android System WebView app on your Android TV or Google TV from the latest beta to a stable version.
