[U: Internet outage; error 2000 fixed] Bell support acknowledges server issues affecting xDSL/IPTV services for some users, no ETA for fix
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 31, 2021) follows:
Bell is one of the most popular telecommunications service providers in Canada with a huge customer base.
It has a lot of subscribers for the mobile and television services namely Bell Mobility, Bell Fibe TV, and Bell Satellite TV.
However, subscribers of the Bell IPTV/xDSL services in Toronto, Ontario appear to be facing server issues.
As per several reports, subscribers are unable to use the internet, cell, or television services in the said area.
Also, the generic troubleshooting does not appear to be solving the issues for affected subscribers.
The said issues seem to be widespread as a lot of subscribers have started reporting about the same while awaiting for a fix.
Now, Bell Support has acknowledged the issues stating that the server devices are down in Toronto, Ontario region.
This is why the subscribers of the Bell xDSL/IPTV services are facing problems but the technicians are currently working on fixing the same.
While this is good news for Bell subscribers, it is unclear how long it will take to fix the said problem.
This is because Bell Support, in another tweet, has said that there is currently no ETA for the said fix.
Moreover, affected subscribers have been recommended to power cycle their modems or transponders periodically to check whether the issues have been addressed.
Hopefully, the said issues get resolved soon as Bell subscribers are unable to use the services they are paying for.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details when they become available.
Update 1 (January 12, 2023)

However, one of those affected users has alleged that the support team is aware of the issue and they are working to fix it.
I just spoke to tech support. The “dispatch team is fixing the problem and it should be restored within 24 hours.” It’d be nice if the bell support page or @Bell_Support were updated. (Source)
