One can access the service by making use of its website or with the help of dedicated app clients available for smart TVs, mobile devices, and consoles.
Netflix allows one to stream and download hit TV shows, movies, and web series on their personal devices, but they require an active monthly subscription plan, in order to do so.
It has made a significant contribution to the upliftment and promotion of independent film makers or creators.
However, like any other popular streaming service, the platform is also prone to certain bugs and issues.
Netflix content ‘distorted’ or ‘pixelated’ for some Xbox users
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Xbox users are said to be facing an issue where the content on the Netflix app appears ‘distorted’ or ‘pixelated’.
A user took to Twitter and said that the problem happens only while watching some shows or movies randomly on the Xbox Series X console.
For some other Xbox console owners, the distorted or pixelated video appears on both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video whereas some others faced this problem while streaming content on the Hulu and Netflix apps.
Is anyone else having issues with the @netflix Xbox app? Displaying content as very pixelated and colorful and distorted? I uninstalled and reinstalled the app even and it still doesn’t wanna work. Been having to use the PS app to watch Netflix.

If you haven’t already I’d try a hard reset on your system. Then maybe check/replace the hdmi cable. Lastly, maybe try turning off Dolby Vision or HDR to see if that has any effect.

The subscribers complained that the issue has been persistent for the past 3 to 4 days, and remains unfixed till date.
Some even tried the general troubleshooting methods like restarting their Xbox console, and uninstalling and re-installing the Netflix app, but nothing seemed to have worked.
No official response
Unfortunately, Netflix has not officially acknowledged the issue. So, it looks like Xbox owners might have to wait a little longer.
Potential workaround
Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that may help solve the problem for some. It is recommended that one disables or turns off the Dolby vision setting.
Also, users can try unplugging and replugging or swapping their HDMI cables in order to resolve the issue.
