The Delta SkyMiles Marketplace is a website where standard members use their SkyMiles. Further, it lets users have additional redemption options like buying Delta gift cards, subscribing to magazines, and more.

However, it appears that the site disappeared on December 4, 2022, owing to a service outage and was never resuscitated.

Now, a number of users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) are perplexed and wondering as to what actually happened to the Delta SkyMiles Marketplace that was once fully operational.

@Delta When is SkyMiles marketplace going to be accessible? Every time I try to go in it’s down for maintenance. 😡

I’ve been trying to use miles for gift cards for over 3 weeks. No replies to emails and same story that the site is down every time I call. 🤯

The fact that the website went down abruptly rendered accrued SkyMiles points of several users unusable. This has surely left them in a confused state of mind if they’ll ever be able to make use of those rewards.

It appears that it has been over a month that the site is inaccessible to users. It is further preventing them from purchasing gift cards or availing of other offers.

Even when someone tries to access the website, it gives them an error saying ‘We apologize, but we’re unable to complete your request’.

It is quite frustrating as instead of letting users access the site, it says that the page is under maintenance (1,2).

Official acknowledgment

Although it’s been over a month since the initial reports, the support team continues to claim that they are aware that their website is down. We do not, however, currently know when it will return.

We are aware of SkyMiles® Marketplace being unavailable at the moment and apologize for the inconvenience it has caused. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated timeline on when it will be back up. We are working diligently to restore the page.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround at the moment that can help fix this problem temporarily.

We hope that the team brings back the Delta SkyMiles website to life again and lets users redeem their points without any issues.

We’ll keep tabs on the latest developments and update this article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
