New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on November 23, 2022) follows:
Overwatch 2 is an incredibly popular successor to the original Overwatch released by Blizzard Entertainment.
Its free-to-play, team-based, and multiplayer first-person shooter gameplay features make it quite successful among gamers around the globe.
The game also receives regular updates in the form of new heroes, character skins, and more.
Overwatch 2 Mime Moira new recolored skin
However, some Overwatch 2 players (1,2,3,4,5) are not really happy with Moira’s new skin and are convinced that it is just a replica of the previous one that has just been enhanced by a bit of recoloring.
Hey, new Moira skin released and it’s a legendary!… and epic? It’s literally just her default look with an added hat, seems kinda weird that it’s classed as legendary and released alongside the Tracer skin which is classed as epic and is her default model with a new hat as well…

It’s basically a recolour with an edited Blackwatch beret and some clown facepaint. This is an epic skin at most, this is crazy

Some players are even disappointed to find that the developers are overcharging for something that’s similar to Moira’s default look.
Others also feel that her new skin isn’t really deserving of the ‘Legendary’ title as it only comes with a hat and the recoloring of the original character. You can check out the image below for reference:
It seems that Tracer’s skin has also been quite a disappointment for some. Players are not able to wrap their heads around the specificity that makes them epic or legendary.
No official word in sight
Unfortunately, there is still no official word from Blizzard on the concerns about Moira having a recolored skin in Overwatch 2.
We will keep tabs on the latest developments and update this story once new relevant events arise.
