Hive Social 'block' feature not working or says 'this feature doesn't work right now?' You're not alone

Nowadays, some social media lovers prefer using Hive Social more as it combines some of the popular features of Twitter, Instagram, MySpace, and various other platforms.

Such integration makes it easier for one to connect and socialize with friends and family on a daily basis.

Users can also browse various topic-based communities related to their interests, such as science, technology, cars, music, and so on. This helps keep them glued to it.

Despite its popularity, users face some problems with the platform every now and then.

For instance, we recently covered an issue where Hive Social users were being shown the wrong zodiac sign on their profile. Now, some users are reporting issues with the platform’s ‘block’ feature.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple users are experiencing difficulties while trying to block someone on the Hive Social platform.

Those who attempted to do so get the ‘This feature doesn’t work right now. Please check back in a future update‘ error message on the platform’s app.

This makes it impossible to block people who may be stalking or disturbing someone by sending disturbing or unsolicited content to a user’s account.

@TheHIVE_Social y’all need to correct the delete and block feature IMMEDIATELY or I’ll be deleting my account. I’ve enjoyed the platform so far but after two weeks of downtime I expect basic functions to be usable.

The biggest (and potentially most dangerous) glitch I’ve discovered yet with @TheHIVE_Social is that the block function doesn’t work. The app has such potential, but it’s really fundamentally borked right now.

The issue has been persistent for quite a while, and the company doesn’t seem to pay heed to it, which makes some of the users unhappy and less interested in further using the platform.

Some (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) claim that they do not feel safe using Hive Social because strangers stalk, follow, and disturb them without fear. This raises big questions about their safety and the company’s take on it.

i’d like to be able to remove followers and properly block people… feels a bit unsafe for people that want to curate their audience.

Users feel that the ‘block’ feature is an essential one for Hive Social, as it has been difficult for them to defend themselves from abuse on social media.

Even though they’ve taken to social media to express their concerns about the problem for over a month, the company is yet to fix this issue.

Unfortunately, Hive Social has not yet responded to the matter.
