[Updated] Fortnite friends list and voice chat (mic) not working? Here's what you can do

Fortnite fans, does voice chat just stop working for you sometimes? Well, you aren’t alone. In fact, at present, we are again seeing several reports that say Fortnite voice chat isn’t working.

More often than not, it’s not a major problem, as users have shared some workarounds that work for them. For example, you can try turning the voice chat option on and off in settings. Many also say restarting and re-plugging the headset does the trick for them.

Some even say reinstalling the game might help.

One user is claiming they reached out to Epic games over this issue, but were told the company can’t do anything about it.

Fresh reports are pouring in that say Fornite friends list feature is currently broken. The system shows friends as offline, when in reality that’s not the case.

06:53 pm (IST): Some Fortnite players (1,2,3,4) are complaining about a problem with voice chat’s functionality again.
