Original story (published on February 04, 2022) follows:

Based out of Bristol, ESPN is one of the most popular sports networks watched by more than 76 million people in the United States.

Owned by The Walt Disney Company, ESPN has several sister channels and is available in more than 200 countries. Subscribers can tune in to ESPN from the website or use the app to watch their favorite sports.

Apart from being able to watch thousands of live events, the app also lets users check scores, watch highlights, and listen to expert analysis.

That being said, recent reports from users running iOS 15.4 beta suggest that the ESPN app is crashing upon launch.

Many said that they tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it is not helping either. Below are some of the reports shared by ESPN app users affected by the crashing issue.

@espn I am having trouble getting onto your app…I have updated the app and I have updated my iOS but I am still not able to get on the app. It launches and the closes immediately. Please help. @Apple @AppStore @AppleSupport I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it to.

It looks like users reported the crashing issues ever since Apple launched the beta on January 28.

I can’t DM you…they’re not open. Anyway, not much else to report. Apple released the first iOS 15.4 beta yesterday, and the ESPN app instantly crashes upon launch on both iPhone and iPad with the update.

Thankfully, ESPN Fan Support has commented on the matter and said that the app developers are aware of the app crashing issue on iOS 15.4 beta. They also said that the problem has been escalated to the concerned team.

Hi , thanks for contacting ESPN. Apologies for the trouble. We are aware of this situation and have escalated it to the appropriate department. With it being a beta there may be issues coming from the Beta software that can be creating issues. ~DS

Unfortunately, they did not share any timeline on when they plan to release a fix. Until then, those running iOS 15.4 beta will have to use the website to watch their favorite sports.

We hope the developers resolve the crashing issue in the coming days so iOS users can use the app once again. When they do, we will be updating this space so make sure you stay tuned to Piunikaweb for more information.
