Spotify mood playlist that shows genre, day & time of day missing? Here’s the official word
Spotify has always invested in personalization features that focus on a user’s listening habits. 2022 Wrapped helped users know who they listen to most and brag about it on social media.
But the user or algorithm-generated playlists have always been their top priority. One such example is the dynamic mood playlist that keeps changing with time and day.
Spotify mood playlist missing
Spotify launched a user-generated playlist that curates a playlist and changes every few hours based on what type of music they listen to throughout the day.
This implies that the playlist for a Saturday night would include songs that are often played in clubs and are more energetic.
Although Spotify did not promote this feature, users embraced it as soon as it was added to the platform.
Users are wondering why it has suddenly disappeared or was removed from the platform and question the developer’s decision-making.
Anyone else’s genre+day+time of day Curated Playlist break today? This has been one of my favorite features. I noticed it didn’t update this morning (it still says Sunday night) and when I click on the link it says the playlist has been removed by the owner.
I have been listening to a Spotify-generated playlist that rotates throughout the day, and from day-to-day. It always had a different name associated with the genre and time of day. I really loved it. It disappeared today.. and the pinned playlist I have says that Spotify got rid of it.
Spotify support has spoken on this issue and said that this playlist has been deprecated, so it’s no longer available for users:
It was one of the best features on the Spotify platform according to several users. As a result, its sudden disappearance has infuriated them.
We hope that the devs will listen to the feedback and bring back the much-loved dynamic playlist feature in a future release.
As always, we will keep an eye on the problem with Spotify mood playlist missing and update this space as additional information becomes available, so stay tuned.
