Incoming is a service outage alert!

Is the popular video streaming service Netflix down, not working for you or throwing connection error? Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.

Here’s what service users get to see:

A quick look at Down detector – a service that gives a realtime overview of outages and other issues – reflects Netflix is encountering a glitch in some regions. Here’s a live outage map showcasing the same:

While reports are proliferating, the services’ official server status page doesn’t convey any outage. Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, well, it’s yet to come. But be informed, we’re keeping a continuous tab on the service’s social media and other official channels for more information.

So we’ll update this page with relevant info as and when we catch hold of any. In case you’re facing the problem discussed here, stay tuned for more updates.

IST 14:03 pm: It appears the service is up and running again.

Update 3: August 25, 2021

IST 11:20 am: New reports from users on social media indicate that they’re having issues accessing and using Netflix as the service appears to be down.

DownDetector is also seeing a spike in the number of reports, further corroborating this narrative that the popular VoD service is down.

IST 08:39 am: Many Netflix subscribers have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms with complaints that the service isn’t working. Here are some reports for reference:

The company hasn’t yet shared any information regarding the outage. However, if that changes, we’ll post an update.

Update 5: December 27, 2021

05:30 pm (IST): A section of users is now reporting server issues with the service. Users say that Netflix keeps loading but the video is not playing.

Fortunately, the company has acknowledged the issue and said that they are currently working to resolve it. However, no ETA for a fix has been provided.

09:53 am (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter to report that Netflix is currently down or not working for them. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.

06:45 pm (IST): Reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with Netflix has been resolved.

Update 9: October 06, 2022

01:00 pm (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector indicate that users are facing issues with Netflix. Users say that the app is down and not working as it doesn’t load or videos won’t play.

04:02 pm (IST): The recent outage with Netflix appears to have been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports on Downdetector.

10:54 am (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter to report that Netflix is currently down or not working for them. Also, reports on Downdetector convey the same.

08:56 am (IST): Downdetector platform reports that multiple Netflix users are currently facing issues while trying to access the service.

04:47 pm (IST): Downdetector indicates that the latest issues on the Netflix servers have been resolved. No new related reports have emerged in some hours either.

12:56 pm (IST): Latest reports on Twitter(1,2,3) and Downdetector suggest that Netflix subscribers are having problems with the platform.

06:06 pm (IST): The latest outage appears to have been resolved, as the reports on Downdetector have died down.

01:22 pm (IST): According to fresh reports (1, 2, 3, 4), Netflix is currently down or not working for a section of users.

06:30 pm (IST): Lack of reports suggest that the recent outage with Netflix has now been resolved.
