The update to OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 added more stability and reliability to OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9 devices. The performance has been boosted substantially in order to deliver a seamless mobile gaming experience.

However, as it turns out, the update isn’t fully baked at the moment as users are facing an issue with it.

According to those affected, the phone connects through Bluetooth to devices that have already been linked.

However, when they try to link their OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 9 smartphone with a new device, the Bluetooth settings crash. A prompt that says ‘Wireless Settings keeps stopping’ is displayed.

Users discovered this issue with the OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) upgrade, and it has been quite inconvenient because Bluetooth is one of the most used features.

I noticed after my OOS 13 upgrade that my settings app was crashing whenever I tried to open Bluetooth settings. I have since performed a factory reset and now my Bluetooth settings menu works fine, but I still can’t get my WHOOP to connect.

Troubleshooting methods like force closing the application and restarting the device don’t seem to fix this issue as well.

Issue acknowledged

Fortunately, the Head of the OOS Operation Team has acknowledged the issue for the OnePlus 8 and 9 devices and said that the developers are working on a fix. However, no ETA was provided.
