Original story (published on November 22, 2022) follows:

YouTube constantly rolls out updates that make the platform better for its viewers. ‘Handles’ is a new unique way that all channel owners can use to showcase and maintain their distinct presence on YouTube.

However, YouTube has had its fair share of bugs and issues such as the app missing or disappearing on kid’s phones with parental controls, Rick and Morty season 6 not available, and so on.

YouTube live streams not showing

According to recent reports, some YouTube users are experiencing a problem where live streams are not working for them (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

YouTube live streams not showing

Several YouTube viewers have turned to Twitter to complain that none of the live streams from their subscriptions are showing up in the feed, even after they get notified.

Those affected say that they have to open up individual streamers or content creators’ profiles in order to see if they are currently live or not.

Several viewers are adversely affected as a result of this, as they miss out on many streams. Furthermore, it appears that this problem affects YouTube on all platforms and devices.

@TeamYouTube Hey, is there a problem with live streams not showing up on the subs page of youtube? there are 4 live streams going on by people im subbed to right now and none are showing up just curious

Same with DrLupo. He’s live now, but I can’t see his live stream in my subscriptions feed, yet I can see all his past streams there. Looks like it’s a larger problem on your end with live streams not appearing in subscriptions feeds.

Troubleshooting methods like uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app, clearing the cache, trying different browsers, unsubscribing, and subscribing, do not appear to work either.

Issue acknowledged

Fortunately, YouTube support has acknowledged the issue where live streams do not appear in the subscription feed. However, no ETA for a fix was shared:

We haven’t come across any potential workaround that can temporarily fix this issue. So, you may have to wait until the devs address this bug.

Update 1 (November 23, 2022)
