Among its wide catalog of products, Google also offers a Google Home app. It helps you set up and control smart home products and even the Chromecast with Google TV.

You can control compatible lights, cameras, speakers, and much more, and works with both iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Google Home app unable to link to Netflix

That said, currently, some Google Home app users are unable to link or connect to their Netflix account (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).

Recently, users haven’t been able to stream Netflix on devices that are linked to the Google Home app. They receive an error message from Netflix that it isn’t working and suggests unlinking and relinking their account.

However, when users try relinking their device to Netflix, it simply stalls with a blank screen and a clients3.google.com error page is displayed.

Some users successfully linked other streaming services (Hulu, Pandora, Disney+) to the Google Home app and have verified that they can still play them without any issues. This suggests it could be an issue with Netflix.

It is quite a new and irritating issue that has been impacting many Google Home app users across all platforms for a few days.

Same. After using it just fine all day, I told my hub max to play Netflix and it told me the accounts weren’t linked. I unlinked them and when I try to relink, I get this error.I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled home and cleared the cache but no joy.

I have the same issue for the last 5 days. I wrote several times. It’s the Google/Netflix integration, it stopped working 5 days ago, is not your device. The haven’t fixed yet. I personally did all the steps, until I found out it’s an issue across the world

Troubleshooting methods like clearing the cache for Chrome and Google Home, uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app, and updating the software don’t seem to work.

Issue acknowledged

Fortunately, Google support has acknowledged this issue and said that they are investigating it. However, no ETA for a fix was shared.
