Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a recent addition to the critically acclaimed medieval combat simulator game, Mount & Blade: Warband.

It gives players the freedom to customize their gameplay by creating their own characters, engaging in politics, crafting weapons, and more.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord ‘corrupted save’ issue

However, many Mount & Blade II: Bannerload players (1,2,3,4,5,6) have been reporting an issue where the saved files are getting corrupted for no apparent reason.

Loaded up bannerlord earlier today and every one of the auto saves I have from my current campaign were corrupted, from what I’ve personally seen in the game it’s only auto saves that get corrupted I had 3 manual saves all an hour apart that all worked fine so anyone on ps4 just be extra careful and us the save as option

I have been playing bannerlord on ps4 since release and twice I’ve had to restart my campaign due to “corrupted save file” I’ve lost over 80 hours of oregress because of it, is there a way to stop this happening or even better to get it back? I use the auto save but also use a separate manual save for backups but all of them get corrupted

Players are extremely disappointed to find out that they have lost all of their progress because of the corrupted saves.

It seems that the recent update is responsible for the issue and affecting various platforms including PC and consoles.

This corruption of saved files is basically making it impossible for many to progress past a certain point or a campaign thus affecting the immersive experience of the game and negating the hours of players’ progress.
