Spectrum is one of the known TV and telecommunications providers in the United States. The company offers Cable TV, Internet and telephony services (for both mobile phones and home phones), including support for 5G networks.
Spectrum also offers various payment plans that include multiple benefits. Like other TV services, the company also includes access to additional external content platforms that make its offerings more attractive.
For instance, one Spectrum plans offers access to all content from HBO Max. However, it seems that this is not working properly at the moment.
According to multiple reports, many Spectrum users are facing an issue where the HBO Max subscription included in their paid plan is showing as ‘expired’, preventing them from enjoying it.

Currently, many Spectrum customers are unable to access HBO Max due to the subscription showing as expired.
Users are receiving a message saying that they must subscribe to HBO Max in order to access the content, even if the subscription is included in their current Spectrum plan.
Is spectrum still offering hbo max. I got a message now saying to subscribe to hbo max and when i check to see the provider it says my subscription expired. I was literally using it this afternoon, no email or nothing.
I am getting the same message. I watched Hbo Max last night through Spectrum. I also double checked my Spectrum bill, and it is still part of my package. This is obviously a bigger error that is affecting a lot of people. Please fix!
@HBOMaxHelp Hi. It looks like My hbo max subscription expired but it should not have,as HBO is part of my cable package with @Ask_Spectrum. Can someone restore the account?
Spectrum team already working on a fix
Fortunately, the Spectrum team is already aware of the issue and working to resolve it. However, there is still no ETA for everything to work normally again.
I am sorry, HBO is aware of the issue, and they are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. ^JJS

Update 1 (August 31, 2022)
01:03 pm (IST): Here’s a potential workaround suggested by one of our readers to resolve the subscription expired issue. You can try it out and see if it helps.
In the HBO Max app, go to your account then Settings>Devices and sign out all devices. Then, on your iOS device, go to Settings>TV Provider and untoggle the button by HBO Max. That allowed me to sign in with Spectrum on all my devices. I’ll periodically keep trying to link my Spectrum account and the app that way until they have a fix and I see that it works.
