Members that participate in this program will earn one mile for every $1 spent on qualifying purchases at Starbucks after linking their accounts. You may check the Starbucks Store Locator to see which stores are participating.

When registered members have a Delta flight scheduled, they will receive double Starbucks Stars on eligible purchases at Starbucks.

In addition, from October 12 through December 31, 2022, members will receive 500 miles and 150 Stars after completing a qualifying purchase.

Starbucks Stars has also been added as a new Choice Benefit for Delta SkyMiles members. Diamond and Platinum SkyMiles members can now choose 4,000 Stars as one of their yearly Choice Benefits in 2024.

These new incentives are available to both current and new members of the Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards loyalty programs.

Earlier, some users also ran into some problems while linking their accounts (1,2,3). But it seems to have been resolved as we haven’t come across any new reports.

Steps to link Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts

To link your Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts, simply follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are logged into your Delta SkyMiles account

2. Go to your profile and copy your SkyMiles number

3. Click on Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards website

4. Then enter your First and Last name

5. After this, paste your SkyMiles number

6. Accept the terms and conditions and click on the ‘Link Accounts’ button

Once you’ve completed the above steps, it will take you to a Starbucks login page. Now sign in to your account to complete the linking process.

If you don’t already have accounts with both (Starbucks Rewards and Delta SkyMiles), you’ll need to sign up with them first and then link the accounts.

That said, the 150 Stars will be awarded only after you complete qualifying purchases. As a result, members should not expect to get the benefits immediately after linking their accounts.

Update 2 (October 17, 2022)

11:08 am (IST): Some users (1,2,3) continue to face issues while trying to link their accounts. It appears that the linking process breaks when users are asked to login into their Starbucks account.

Update 3 (October 18, 2022)

17:41 pm (IST): According to reports (1,2), the promised 150 stars are not showing up even after linking their Delta and Starbucks accounts.

Apparently, users are required to make a purchase in order to receive those points.
