The Pixel Watch is Google’s first smartwatch, and it comes with a collaboration with Fitbit to help you get the most out of your watch.
The watch can track over 40 different types of workouts while also counting steps and continually monitoring your heart rate. However, there is a problem.
Pixel Watch won’t sync with Fitbit app
According to reports, some Pixel Watch owners are having an issue with data syncing between their Pixel Watch and the Fitbit app (1,2,3,4,5).
The affected Pixel Watch users report that the watch shows that it is connected to their Fitbit app. However, several metrics, such as sleep duration, heart rate, and steps, are not accurately counted.
This has left several users frustrated as they are unable to properly track their progress because the numbers for calories and distance covered, among other metrics, are way off the mark.

I’ve had the watch for a few days now, switched over from a Fitbit versa 2. I’ve only used it for treadmill workouts so far, and while I know treadmill distance and tracker distance don’t usually match, I remember my Fitbit being relatively close. So far my pixel watch is off by 0.5-0.6 of a mile, which is quite a bit.

The same issue is also affecting the Agenda app, where no calendar events are syncing, and in other cases, not all events are displayed on the app.
Agenda not syncing with Google calendar? I have events scheduled in Google calendar on my pixel phone but they aren’t showing up on the agenda on my pixel watch. Does the agenda app sync with calendar?

Some users tried troubleshooting methods like resetting the watch and reconnecting it to the Fitbit app, but nothing seems to work.
Potential workaround
While the developers are yet to comment on the issue, we came across a workaround. Go to the Google Play Store on the watch, scroll down and click manage apps. Then update the Fitbit app on the watch:
While at it, also ensure that everything is up to date on your Watch so as to be on the safe side.
If the aforementioned workaround helps fix the issue where the Pixel Watch won’t sync with the Fitbit app or the Agenda app, do let us know in the comments below.
