Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, MultiVersus is a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stagnant PvP fighting genre. The game being free-to-play and crossplay support are just the cherry on top.
However, this does not mean that it’s exempt from the occasional bugs and issues that may negatively impact the players’ experience.
We previously covered an issue where players were facing lag or latency-related problems during matches.
And now, Stripe, a newly introduced character in MultiVersus is causing a lot of problems in the game.
MultiVersus Stripe broken
Many MultiVersus players have been reporting that Stripe is broken or bugged at the moment. The character has been experiencing a variety of issues ever since it was added to the game.
I like stripe being in the game but there’s no way that some of the stuff that’s been happening while I’m playing should be happening.

I’m already getting glitches with stripe I cant use items when paired with certain characters. No saws no tossable special. Down attack doesnt spawn boombox

The problems are primarily related to Stripe’s special abilities. Reports suggest that abilities like the ‘Up Special’ and ‘Buzz Saw’ are completely broken.
Many are experiencing an issue where the ‘Up Special’ ability does not work as described in the move set. Stripe is supposed to attach to the enemies and claw them, but the move is not working as intended.
Am I going crazy? How is no one talking about how stripe’s UP special description is completely wrong?

In the case of ‘Buzz Saw’, players are unable to throw projectiles as the ability randomly stops working during the game.
Official response
It appears that MultiVersus developers are somewhat aware of Stripe’s special moves and projectiles being broken. They recently released a hotfix for the issue where projectiles randomly stop working.
However, it seems that users are still facing issues with projectiles and the character’s other abilities.
We hope the developers find out the root cause behind these issues and fix them at the earliest.
We’ll keep an eye on this matter and update this story to reflect noteworthy information.
