Samsung was the first non-Google Android OEM to release the stable Android 12 update. However, the Korean company hasn’t managed to repeat this feat with the stable Android 13 update.

While Samsung is still testing One UI 5.0 on eligible Galaxy devices, OnePlus, on the other hand, has already seeded the stable OxygenOS 13 update for OnePlus 10 Pro owners.

Meanwhile, other OnePlus devices are also following up with OxygenOS 13 closed and open beta updates. For more details on OxygenOS 13 rollout, new features, and bugs and issues, head to our dedicated OxygenOS 13 tracker.

OnePlus 9 OxygenOS 13 open beta 1 pulled

Having said that, OnePlus announced OxygenOS 13 open beta program for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro owners on September 20.

However, as it turns out, the update isn’t fully baked at the moment as the company has now pulled it back, citing an unnamed bug.

The head of the OxygenOS operation team at OnePlus confirmed on the community forum that they took down the OxygenOS 13 open beta 1 download links for OnePlus 9 series due to a bug.

However, details of the bug in question have not been shared. With open beta 1 pulled, the company will now shift attention to open beta 2, which OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro users can expect to arrive in mid-to-late October.

You can check out the full statement below.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for participating in the Open Beta for OnePlus 9&9 Pro. All the bugs and comments we already received and sorted these for further iteration.

We also want to take this opportunity to clarify that we took off the OBT1 links for the OP9 series because there is a bug in the OBT1. Besides, the OP9 series now is in the process of preparation for OBT2 which is expected to be released in mid-to-late October.

Thank you for all the support and these really mean a lot to us. (Source)

This means that those who are looking forward to joining the beta program on their OnePlus 9 device won’t be able to do so, at least until open beta 2 drops.

And while there are other sources where you’ll easily find the download links for open beta 1, we would advise you wait up until the official version arrives somewhere in October.

That said, we will follow up on this and report back if and when anything noteworthy comes to our notice.
