The amount of information that is accessible online has significantly increased throughout time. Yet, Google has always aimed to make it simple and quick for its users to access the information that they seek.

Recently, Google has made major changes to the Search toolbar UI as part of their attempts to enhance their search engine and offer a modern user experience.

New Google Search toolbar UI

However, the new Google Search toolbar UI is facing heavy backlash from many users who want it changed back to how it previously looked (1,2,3).

Many users are questioning why Google wants to tweak something that is already functioning fine since they feel that nothing about this latest change is user-friendly or straightforward.

Google is currently testing some significant changes to the Search toolbar user interface, including the removal of the section with ‘All, Shopping, News, Images, Videos, More’ options.

Instead, when you perform a search, Google suggests results with a plus (‘+’) symbol next to them. When you click on these suggestions, results are displayed based on them.

Google Search Tools are gone I regularly filter my search results on Google by date published (last month, last year, etc.) However, it seems that today the new update to Google’s UI on my Android phone has removed this feature (Search Tools). I can’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know where it has gone to? Seems like a weird feature to remove

why have you dumped the search menu? Why can’t I just go to “news” “videos” etc like I could before? I HATE this new “+ “ or am I missing something?

Since it’s still testing, the new Google Search toolbar UI design and layout is available to a limited number of users. This implies that not everyone will have immediate access to these changes.

Apparently, the new toolbar UI only appears when signed into your Google account, so you might want to log out or browse in incognito mode to temporarily restore the old UI.

Hopefully, Google will pay attention to user feedback and implement the requested alterations, allowing for the creation of a more polished Search toolbar that will satisfy everyone.
