03:27 pm (IST): Multiple AT&T users are reporting on X that network is down for them across various parts of the U.S. This can also be seen on Downdetector, which has recorded a sudden surge in reports about the outage over the past hour or so. There’s no official word from AT&T yet, but at least rest assured you are not alone.

19:30 pm (IST): According to a New York Times report (which further cites DownDetector), users in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Dallas are among the most affected. AT&T has acknowledged the issue, saying they are working “urgently” to fix it. Meanwhile, you can check AT&T’s website to confirm if there’s an outage in your area.

Just in case you’re trying to wrap your head around why AT&T is down or not working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing connectivity issues.

A quick scroll through Twitter reveals there are many others affected by the same issue. As per reports, the service isn’t working or broken for them, meaning no way to access data services or calls.

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that AT&T service is indeed down going through a glitch in multiple regions across the U.S., as can be seen in the image below:

Any official word on the matter? None so far, although some of those affected say AT&T support has kind of acknowledged the matter, but we are yet to come across any of this in official capacity.
