[Updated] Haven't received COD: Modern Warfare 2 beta code for Xbox yet? You're not alone

Original story (published on September 22, 2022) follows:

COD: Modern Warfare 2 is the direct sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot released in 2019. The new installment promises to combine new gameplay elements along with those that players loved from the original Modern Warfare.

The game is currently in beta phase. Those players who pre-ordered it or purchased an early access code would be eligible for the beta.

However, it appears that many eligible players on Xbox are not receiving the COD: Modern Warfare 2 beta code.

Multiple reports from Xbox players reveal that many of them are not receiving their corresponding Modern Warfare 2 beta codes.

Apparently, when they try to claim their code, all they get is an error message that reads: ‘You have already redeemed a code for Xbox’.

Redeemed a beta code for xbox but cant find the xbox code anywhere. I got a beta code from gamestop and entered it in on the cod website but I have yet to receive the xbox code. It says, ” You have already redeemed a code for Xbox.” but it does not show the code.

Ive seen videos of people on this same page and it shows their code but I dont see mine. Ive checked my email and nothing is there. wtf do I do

Hello everybody, Anyone already got codes for XBOX early access beta via e-mail? I did not preorder, i bought a code for the early access, registered through callofduty.com reedeem. The beta starts tomorrow, thats why i am worried. Thanks!

Many players are concerned that they will not be able to access the COD: Modern Warfare 2 beta from the start due to this issue.

For those dealing with the problem, there is a potential workaround that could help:

If you have the Xbox app on your phone and linked your console you can find the beta on the app and start the download on your console. Not sure how it will act tomorrow when the servers go live, but you can at least pre-load it 🙂

There is no official acknowledgment of the issue from the COD: Modern Warfare 2 developers yet. But we will update this story once new relevant developments emerge.

04:22 pm (IST): According to a Redditor, players who pre-ordered COD: Modern Warfare 2 through Steam and haven’t received their beta code can check their game library.

And if you experience crashing issues after accessing the beta from the Steam library, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

06:37 pm (IST): A Redditor said that they also didn’t receive their beta code, but they got it from the official Call of Duty website. Hence, you can also enroll on the COD website to get your beta code.
