Original story (published on September 12, 2022) follows:

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a perfect hybrid between a life-simulator and an adventure game. Players can explore a world filled with quests and engage in activities that feature Disney and Pixar characters.

Disney Dreamlight Valley ‘With Great Power’ quest not progressing

Lately, though, many Disney Dreamlight Valley players are reporting a bug where the ‘With Great Power’ quest is not progressing for them (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).

Disney Dreamlight Valley With Great Power quest not progressing

The ‘With Great Power’ quest is given to players in the game by a character named ‘Merlin’. It includes multiple objectives including some challenging puzzles.

One such puzzle requires players to plant crops on any of the three soils in front of the Peridot, Aquamarine, and Garnet statutes. The puzzle requires Tomato, Carrot, and Wheat seeds to complete.

But gamers now face an issue after planting and harvesting the wrong crops. Apparently, the soil to plant the seeds goes missing and thus no longer able to grow the correct crops.

So to make a long story short I’m pretty sure I messed up on the second magic gate in the cave. I grew the wrong vegetables and now the dirt is gone and I can’t redo it. I really didn’t want to restart my game 😭 anybody know what I can do ??

Will this include what seems like a game-breaking glitch in merlins quest with great power? I planted one of the incorrect items and then picked them all, it now won’t let me plant anything and I can’t progress any further

Due to this issue, players are stuck at the second magic gate and are unable to progress farther in the quest as the next puzzle requires them to cook a meal using the three ingredients that they planted.

Official acknowledgement and potential workaround

Fortunately, Gameloft Support is already aware of the ‘With Great Power’ quest not progressing issue. However, no ETA for a fix has been shared yet.

They have also provided a possible workaround that can mitigate the issue. All you need to do is dig new soil using a shovel to plant the crop seeds.

We are sorry you have run into this challenge when playing. We recommend you dig and plant again.

Let us know in the comments down below if the aforementioned workaround helped you fix the issue affecting the ‘With great power’ quest.

Also, we will be updating this space once the problem is resolved so stay tuned for more information.
