YouTube TV 'Sports Plus channel add-on' issue being looked into, no ETA for fix
In order to use YouTube TV, users are required to pay for a paid membership that offers Live TV broadcasts from major networks, popular cable channels, and much more.
If you are a sports fan and have a YouTube TV membership, then the Sports Plus add-on option is ideal for you. It can be clubbed with the Base Plan for an extra amount per month and you can access various sports channels.
YouTube TV unable to add ‘Sports Plus channel add-on’
Users get a popup message that says “Network added. Sports Plus is available” on their screen when they try to purchase the Sports Plus add-on for their YouTube TV membership.
However, YouTube TV asks them to add the Sports Plus add-on when they attempt to access the sports channels included in this plan. In some cases, they have purchased the add-on but it’s not reflected in their account.
As a result of this issue, YouTube TV users are unable to purchase this add-on and don’t have access to sports channels like NFL RedZone to watch live streaming of their favorite sports.
This is a YouTube issue. I keep adding sports plus, it says it is now available, but it is not available. When I go to RedZone it tells me to add sports plus again
The playback issues have not been resolved I ordered Sports Plus entertainment plus with HBO Showtime and stars and I ordered the 4K package nothing is working right the channels don’t even come up in my guide
Some have experimented with buying the add-on using their TV, phone, and PC. But the purchase isn’t going through.
Fortunately, YouTube support didn’t take too long to acknowledge this issue and said that they are currently investigating it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the fix.
We hope YouTube TV developers can figure out the root cause of the issue with the Sports Plus channel add-on and fix it for good.
