[Updated] Zwift baseline ride emails not showing phenotype stats for many, issue acknowledged

Zwift is an online game-cum-fitness platform that offers cycling and running physical training program. Being a multiplayer game, it allows players to interact, train, and compete with each other in a virtual world.

Started as a free training program in September 2014, Zwift became a paid product in 2015 and since then, the company has gradually increased their price from $10 in 2015 to $21 in 2021.

The game is available on multiple platforms including Android, Windows, macOS, iOS, and tvOS.

With that said, many Zwift players are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) an issue where baseline ride emails are missing phenotype stats for them.

Gamers say that the emails they received for their baseline ride are missing phenotype stats. For some reason, the emails show all other content except for the stats.

It says: ” We measured your Baseline Ride and crunched the numbers. It looks like your phenotype is: . ” Does anyone have a mail with actual data in it? And if not, where can I see the results better then in the email? Thnx (Source)

I did my baseline ride today for Zwift Academy 2022 Road,and received my email, but the phenotype and segment results were blank. Has this happened to anyone else (Source)

As apparent in the screengrab attached below, the stats are missing for all the three segments — Short, Medium, and Long.

This is frustrating since the results for the baseline ride are among the most important aspects of the game and they are useful in determining the potential of the player.

Fortunately, it didn’t take too long for Zwift to acknowledge this issue. Responding to one of those affected, Zwift support said that they are aware of this bug and working to resolve it.

While support has confirmed that a fix for this issue is already in works, they didn’t share any ETA for the same. However, we hope that it arrives soon since many players can’t view their phenotype stats.

Regrettably, there isn’t any other way to view phenotype stats or any workaround to fix this glitch. That means you’ll have to wait until devs fix it.

05:51 pm (IST): Zwift support on Twitter has now confirmed that the issue with baseline ride emails has been fixed. Here’s the complete statement:

(1/2) Hey Zwifters! Our sincerest apologies for the issues that arose at the start of Zwift Academy during the Baseline rides, these issues have been corrected. For the most accurate data, we encourage you to complete the baseline ride again. We appreciate your understanding! (Source)
