Today, thanks to social platforms, many artists have the possibility of interacting more directly with their fans.
One of the most popular tools for that goal is Weverse. Weverse is a platform where fans of groups, bands or artists can access exclusive content in the form of publications, merchandise and more.

The platform is widely used by ARMYs, fans of BTS (one of the most popular K-Pop bands). Through Weverse, multiple members of BTS often start chats and even live streams with their fans.
However, currently Weverse users are unable to use the app properly as it is constantly crashing or experiencing lag.
Weverse app keeps crashing or lagging for many
According to multiple reports, the app is practically unusable at the moment. Weverse app users are dealing with notable performance issues ranging from lagging to crashing.

it just keeps lagging and then crashing! Namjoon did a live this morning and weverse lagged and then crashed several times! I want them to go back to vlives.

weverse actually working pretty well this whole live only for it to start crashing when seokjin was refusing to go to sleep. oh i know someone just unplugged the servers.

I’m impressed actually, Weverse lasted for 2 hours before crashing. Jin gaming and having a mental breakdown scared Weverse into staying straight, lest they hear the wrath of Seokjin and his ARMY.

Apparently, crashing or lagging are not new problems on the platform. These usually happen when very popular artists start a live stream.

For instance, this recent crashing and low performance seems to have been triggered by high interest in a live stream from various members of BTS.
So, it seems that Weverse servers often have problems trying to handle very heavy traffic.
There is still no official acknowledgment of the issue. But we will be monitoring the situation to update this story as events unfold.
