[Updated] Destiny 2 'Deepsight Resonance' chest not appearing or reward not counting issue under investigation, says Bungie

Destiny 2 introduced a new crafting system that allows players to make their own weapons and select their preferred traits and perks after The Witch Queen expansion.

But in order to do the crafting, Destiny 2 players are required to obtain Deepsight Resonance weapons. This can be done either by getting random drops for defeating enemies or through guaranteed Deepsight weapon chests.

However, many players are facing issues where Destiny 2 ‘Deepsight Resonance’ chest is not appearing or reward is not counting.

Some players report that the Deepsight Resonance chest reward at the end of King’s Fall is not counting or tracking for progress (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).

Even after completing all the requirements and acquiring the patterns, the progress is stuck for multiple Destiny 2 players.

This has been a really frustrating issue as players are unable to add perks to their favorite weapons.

@BungieHelp I have a bug where I can’t progress weapon patterns for taipan-4fr. I’ve completed 4-6 deepsight taipans and I’m stuck at 1/2 patterns completed.

Maybe my question is unwarranted, but I’ve opened some 40-odd treasure chests in Xur’s Hoard and have only gotten a single Deepsight weapon to drop. I saw a couple of videos that said you should get one every 5ish? keys, so is this a bug? I didn’t see it on the known bugs list, so maybe RNJesus has finally left me.

Another issue that Destiny 2 players are facing is with the Deepsight Resonance ‘chests not appearing’ (1,2,3,4,5).

There are nine possible symbols spread around the Dreadnought, and players must shoot three randomly selected ones every time they load into the raid in order to get this chest.

But due to an issue, the chest does not appear for players even after they try raids multiple times.

Potential workaround for people atm, it’s worked everytime for us if the same person shot all 3 symbols (only 1 do not let anyone else activate it, it will void the chest)

Fortunately, Bungie support has acknowledged the Destiny 2 ‘Deepsight Resonance’ chest issues and said the developers are working on a fix. But no ETA was shared.

12:20 pm (IST): Destiny 2’s latest update comes with a fix for the issue where the Deepsight Resonance chest is not appearing for many players.

Fixed an issue in King’s Fall where players received confirmation on completion of the Deepsight puzzle but didn’t have the chest spawn.
