New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 22, 2022) follows:

Madden Ultimate Team, affectionately known as MUT to its players, is one of the best game modes in Madden 23. It allows players to compete with their friends or other players online.

For this, player trade is a key element in building a team in MUT where you can essentially acquire any player in the world by buying it from an auction on the market or by opening the packs.

Madden 23 player cards bought from auction change to BND

Recently, some Madden 23 players are facing an issue where NFL player cards bought from auction become BND after the purchase (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

BND stands for “account bound”, meaning this item can not be collected, auctioned, or traded. Basically, it’s an untradable item.

However, the NFL player cards that are available on the market for auction are supposed to be in-game tradable items that are resellable or auctionable again.

But that has not been the case as the player cards go into BND status after they are purchased. Due to this, Madden 23 players are stuck with player cards as they can’t sell them or put them into their sets.

Just bought 86 Headliners Carson Wentz and…
…he immediately went into ‘BND’ status. Can’t add him to the 89 Sneed HL set as intended.. WTF is going on? If EA can’t address these ‘bugs’ – I’ll be done early this year because team building will be a counterproductive hobby for me… Just spent 60000+ coins on an 86 card that basically will just collect dust and quick sells for 210.

My FS Bobby McCain who I built the the set and used him on my team and selected him as a favorite which I have unfavorited now so I could complete the 89 vander esch set is now somehow BND it will not let me put him into the set I saved him for… this card goes for 300k and I cannot do anything with him now I need to use him to complete this set… EA please fix this.
