[Updated] MultiVersus Arya Up Special inconsistency could be fixed via a server-side update, says game lead

MultiVersus is a free-to-play crossover fighting game that lets you team up with or against your friends.

It brings together a diverse mix of Warner Bros. characters like Shaggy, Wonder Woman, Batman and so on.

Arya is also one of the widely popular ‘assassin’ characters in MultiVersus which makes her suitable for close-quarters combat. Additionally, MultiVersus’ season 1 patch makes Arya even more effective.

However, reports of inconsistency with Arya ‘Up Special’ have been emerging lately (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

Multiple reports from affected players suggest that after the opponent is hit, Arya doesn’t dash to the opponent’s location. Instead, she moves to a different place making it impossible for her to hit the opponent.

@multiversus I’m tired of using up special on somebody and they don’t die at 147 with Harley and they don’t die and getting hit with a down hit when I’m above them wonderful game what ever y’all doing over going to last a long time

In training mode it looks as though it’s fixed but online the direction to where they go is so random they knockup in a direction that makes her up air kill confirms impossible, or is there something I’m doing wrong? Has anyone experienced this?

Fortunately, the team is aware of the inconsistency issue with Arya Up Special and is currently testing fixes through a server-side update as confirmed by the game lead.

So far, we haven’t come across any workaround that can help fix the issue temporarily. So, MultiVersus fans have to wait till a definite fix is out.

The team will roll out the fixes once they have been tested thoroughly. That said, we’ll keep tabs on the issue regarding Arya Up Special inconsistency issue and update the article when something noteworthy comes up.

12:47 pm (IST): A game director of MultiVersus has informed players that the server side patch has been released that fixes the Arya Up Special inconsistency issue.

A server-side patch should be going out tonight that should help with Finn Gem Dash, Finn Ground Down Attack and Arya Up Special consistency Iron Giant Up Special chaining zero-to-death. Batman picking up the batarang also now returns 10.15s up from 9.45s. #MultiVersus (Source)
