I have Razer Blade Base 15 – 2018. And recently i noticed that I can’t close the lid. And yesterday it was obviously that battery is swollen as touch pad is not working and it’s very similar to what others have experienced. I am devastated as everything else is in a perfect state, laptop works just like a first day and I don’t want to get rid of it.

I have a razer blade 15 advance (Late2019) in Hong Kong, recently I found the lid never closes completely with the base of the laptop and didn’t know why. Until today I found the bottom of the laptop has a curvature that I have not seen before, looks as if the battery has gone swollen.

This issue appears to be affecting various laptop models from 2018-2020. So given that it has only been a few years since the launch, these laptops shouldn’t be having any such major issues.

There are constant reports from Razor Blade users on various platforms regarding these issues. So far, the only option that support provides is replacing the battery.
