[Update: August 1] Gmail's email filters broken - Promotions/spam arriving in Primary inbox folder, users say
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on December 7, 2018) follows:
Looks like Gmail users are experiencing issues with automatic email filtering. We’re seeing a significant number of reports that say emails that are supposed to arrive in the Promotions folder are making way to Gmail’s Primary folder.
Of course, this is a major problem for most Gmail users as we all know that a large number of promotional emails arrive each day. Many of the affected users are taking to social media platforms to share this problem.
I wondered if they did this as a "special opportunity" to advertisers, for a fee. "Yeah we'll just...forget about people's filters for a day."— Achariya (@tanyarezak) December 7, 2018
