[Updated] Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery crashing after new update, but there's a potential workaround

Developed and published by Jam City, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role-playing game that was released in April of 2018. The game takes place before the events of the novel.

According to data from SensorTower, the title generated somewhere around $110 million in less than a year after its release.

Coming to the gameplay, the player can attend classes, learn spells, go on quests, and battle others. There are several characters from the series you can interact with like Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore.

But in the last few hours, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players are reporting that the game is crashing. The issue seems to have surfaced after the latest update.

Many are angry since they are unable to play the game at all. Some have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but to no avail.

Hi, I need help with my game, I updated it a while ago and now it won’t let me play, it loads too slow and on the other hand when it finally comes in, it stops and exits. I tried uninstalling the game and nothing, it still doesn’t work, it has cost me a lot to get to year 6.

@HogwartsMystery I’m doing a care of magical creatures class but my game keeps crashing. I can’t save, I can’t complete the class, I can’t leave the area. It just keeps crashing any time I try to leave or save or if I get to the end of the last star of the class

Unfortunately, it looks like Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery developers are still unaware of the crashing issue.

However, if you happen to own an iOS device, try restarting it since it is reportedly fixing the problem for some. Android users can also try the workaround to see if it helps.

If you have an IOS just power it off then hold the home button for 8 seconds it fixed the crashing
