Here’s the crux of the article in video form:

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 21, 2022) follows:

Roblox is one of the most popular online platforms that allows players to create and play games created by others.

Within Roblox’s extensive collection of individual games, Adopt Me is a title that involves designing a home, caring for pets, and making friends with other players.

Even though it is free to play, you can spend real money to buy rare pets. You can also trade pets or sell rare ones on external websites.

It also happens to be the most popular game on the platform, with over 1.92 million concurrent players.

That said, Adopt Me players are now complaining that the game is down or not working at the moment. Many are reportedly getting a ‘Roblox Data servers are currently down. Please rejoin later’ error message.

To address the aforementioned problem, the developers rolled out an engineering update.

We’re rolling out an update to our save system in an hour! This should make loading into the game smoother & faster for many of our players.

Unfortunately, this resulted in a bigger mess because after many reported getting stuck at the ‘Loading Save’ screen as can be seen in the image below.

As it turns out, a large number of players were trying to migrate to the update at the same time, making things worse. The developers then confirmed that the migration speed has increased. But there’s no ETA on how much longer it will take for everyone to be able to play the game normally.

We’re sorry, we know it’s frustrating but our engineers are monitoring and the migration is going much faster now.

Rest assured, we will be keeping tabs on the matter and update this space as and when the issues are resolved so make sure you stay tuned.

Update 1 (July 22)

We rolled out a fix to help players who have been stuck in the Loading Screen – please let us know if you’ve been able to get in or still struggling (and share your usernames if you’re still stuck)! We’ll continue working on this while we release the Normal Egg refresh (Source)

Moreover, you can try re-starting the game as a potential fix if you had the game window open for a little while.

If you’ve had the game window open for a little while, restarting it might help now that the fix is out – let us know if it’s still stuck once you restart! (Source)
