With over 2 billion monthly active users, YouTube is without a doubt the world’s largest video-sharing platform. The company generated a whopping $8.6 billion in revenue in the last quarter of 2021.

And thanks to the developers always working on bringing in new features and improving existing ones, it looks like YouTube will comfortably maintain its position in the coming years.

That said, YouTube is far from perfect with users complaining about bugs such as autoplay function automatically turning on for some and drop and drop to change videos order not working on website.

Adding to the long list of issues, YouTube users are now reporting that the UI is not loading correctly on the website (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10).

While the video seems to be loading just fine, other UI elements like comments, recommended videos, descriptions and other things are not loading.

Every time I click on a youtube video, whether from recommendations, search, or an external link, the only thing that loads is the video. Until I restart, I cannot see the title, description, comments and recommendations. It is happening on both of my computers. I have tried restarting chrome, restarting my computer, clearing cache and clearing cookies. Is there anything else I should try?

Whenever I open a new video on YouTube, it will only load the video but not the rest of the page. If I reload the page, that temporarily fixes the page. However, now when I click on a recommended video, it will start playing that video, but the page will stay the exact same. I tried clearing my cache, cookies, and browser history. I have tried on other browsers like Chrome and Firefox. I have tried on other machines.

While refreshing the page and logging out of Google seems to be fixing the issue, it is not really a practical solution.

Thankfully, YouTube developers have acknowledged the issue where the UI is not loading correctly on the website and said they are already working on a fix. However, there is no ETA on when it will be resolved.

We hope they soon deploy a patch that fixes the problem for good. As always, we will be updating this space when we come across more information.
