Dead by Daylight is one of the most popular games on Steam. The survival horror online multiplayer is developed and published by Behaviour Interactive.

Released in June of 2016, Dead by Daylight lets players play as either the killer or the survivor.

While the killer is hell-bent on finding the survivors and sacrificing them to a malevolent force, the survivors have to find a way to escape by repairing generators.

That said, Dead by Daylight players are now reporting that they are unable to connect to the game servers. Many are expressing their frustration on social media platforms like Twitter.

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – has hundreds of reports indicating that players are facing problems right now.

Also, you can see in the image below the error message Dead by Daylight players are getting when trying to launch the game.

Unfortunately, we are yet to come across any official word on the matter. We hope the developers find out the root cause of the problem and fix the servers as soon as possible.

12:10 pm (IST): Dead by Daylight players are reporting an ‘Initialization error’ that is preventing them from accessing the game (1, 2, 3).

05:20 pm (IST): Reports related to the ‘Initialization error’ message that was affecting several players stopped popping up hours ago.

10:45 am (IST): Fresh reports indicate that Dead by Daylight servers are currently unstable, causing a constant ‘Please try again later’ error message (1, 2, 3).

09:42 am (IST): Dead by Daylight servers seem to have been fixed as no more related reports have surfaced for hours.

09:15 am (IST): A new outage on the Dead by Daylight servers is being reported by several players (1, 2, 3).

02:15 pm (IST): It seems that the operation of the Dead by Daylight servers has already returned to normal.
