If you are a gamer, you must have heard about Roblox at some point in time. Developed by the Roblox Corporation, it is an online platform where users can either create or play games created by others.

The platform gained massive popularity after the Coronavirus pandemic, with over half of the kids under 16 in the US playing Roblox.

But like every other online platform, users have faced their fair share of bugs and issues like R6 character unable to equip hair and Health Core UI broken for some.

Adding to the list of problems, Roblox players are now complaining about the chat ban exploit causing chaos in the Roblox universe.

Players are worried about their account safety and are wondering if they should play the game right now.

Thanks to a Redditor named Khodyn, we might have a potential explanation of how the chat ban exploit works. It looks like the problem surfaced after Roblox deprecated their old chat system in favor of a new one that uses Lua scripts.

The exploit works by sending Roblox players a message of an invitation link to a game. After joining the server for some time, the game kicks you out and bans you.

It can also be used to hack other people’s accounts and steal their ROBUX credits as well. These bans usually range from a couple of days to a few years.

Unfortunately, the only way for players to unban their accounts is to tell Roblox customer service that they were falsely banned.

Thankfully, Roblox developers seem to be aware of the chat ban exploit and have temporarily fixed the issue so players can enjoy the games on the platform once again.

TL;DR: The issue has been fixed on a short-term basis; Even still, be careful which games you decide to play.

Seems like a long-term solution for the problem is also under work. But there is no ETA of when the chat ban exploit will be patched. Until then, you can try disabling chat or avoid joining random games.

We hope the developers soon find a way to fix the chat ban exploit so that players can once again dive in the Roblox universe without running the risk of getting banned.
