Discord 'lag' & 'delay' when sending texts or using voice chat under investigation

Discord is usually the preferred messaging service for gamers due to its many features that facilitate organization and communication in teams.

Another great advantage of Discord is its audio channels, which allow you to replace the voice chat system in games (or be used as a voice chat system in games that don’t offer it natively).

Normally, Discord runs robustly thanks to its solid servers. However, as with other similar services, issues sometimes occur that negatively impact the experience.

Currently, many Discord users are facing ‘lag’ and ‘delay’ issues while sending texts or using voice chat on channels. Also, some users are dealing with performance issues with the Discord app.

According to reports, there is currently a noticeable lag both when sending text messages and when streaming voice on Discord.

The issue may causes a long wait between sending and receiving a message, voice desynchronization or audio cutting out while speaking.

I have the same issue both on PC and mobile, since around 3 hours now my messages are delayed/buggy and voice calls and streams are very laggy as well despite stable internet from my side

audio keeps cutting in and out.

hi all, been using discord for so long now and in the last month or so my voice cuts out when i enter a game, and also my friends can’t hear me. it’ll cut back in sometiems and be super delayed. sometimes it works okay but usually not. i stream on twitch and have a great mic and headset. great pc build. there’s no drivers that need updating. tried resetting discord. nothing works. it’s starting to get really really frustrating. any help?

Discord VC delaying and lagging whenever I open Minecraft

Basically when I’m just browsing the VC in my server works fine, but as soon as I open minecraft it starts delaying for absolutely no reason around 10 seconds in. I think it’s the same with other games but not sure. Anyone else having this problem? And does anyone know the solution to this? Thanks.

In other cases, the Discord app is also causing freezing and ‘muted audio’ issues on the users PC (even outside the app).

Oh thank god it’s not only me

I even returned a new gpu bc of it

It happens to me when I play apex or Fortnite

My pc will freeze, all audio will mute, then my voice is super delayed in discord. I even did a full pc wipe just to try and fix it
