Fox News on YouTube TV keeps buffering, freezing, or skipping ahead, issue acknowledged
YouTube TV is one of the many solutions available for those looking to drop their cable connection. With the base plan starting at $65 per month, users can access more than 85 broadcast and cable channels.
One of the best features of YouTube TV is the ability to watch local affiliate channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox News in almost all parts of the United States.
But lately, many YouTube TV users are complaining that Fox News is either freezing, buffering, or skipping ahead (1,2,3,4,5). What is interesting to note here is that other channels are working just fine.
Subscribers have tried switching from wireless to wired connection, restarting their device, and fiddling with video quality settings but the problem persists.
Fox News constant buffering. This is the only channel I’m experiencing this problem. Every other channel plays perfectly. I have two Apple TV 4Ks – one hard wired one wireless. Sent in app feedback. Anyone else experiencing this?
Single channel Buffering on LG NANO85. I am experiencing buffering on one channel in YTTV, FoxNews consistently buffers while other channels like NBC, CNN, CBS, etc, do not. I also experienced buffering while trying to watch NFL during the playoffs which was scream inducing… 🙂 Download speed is 157MBps on the TV so it’s not the connection. Tried restarting TV and app and all apps are up to date…. any ideas? Thanks!
Thankfully, YouTube TV developers have acknowledged the Fox News buffering and freezing issue and said they are currently working on a fix. But they did not say if and when the problem will be resolved.
sorry you’re still having trouble watching Fox News w/o the buffering 😥 we’re already working on fixing the problem! appreciate your patience 💕
sorry about this 😔 we’re aware of the freezing issue on Fox News and are now working on a fix 🛠
