Twitter is one of the most popular micro-blogging platforms in the world. Millions of people use it on a daily basis to consume content and share their opinion with others.

However, just like every other modern platform, it’s not immune to some occasional bugs and issues that may negatively affect the user experience.

According to recent reports (1,2,3,4), many Twitter users have been getting a ‘Failed to send’ error message when replying to tweets.

It appears that the issue is only limited to the ‘Reply’ function. Users clarified (1,2) that other functions like ‘Tweet’ and ‘Quote Tweet’ are working completely fine.

The problem affects some of the core functions of the platform and prevents users from creating threads, sharing their opinion and interacting with others.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Twitter is already aware of the ‘Failed to send’ issue and is currently investigating it. But they did not share any ETA for the fix.

Update 3 (February 9, 2023)

01:37 pm (IST): Twitter has made some modifications and introduced limits for certain things on the platform.
