Developed by the same studio that brought us League of Legends, TFT: Teamfight Tactics is an auto battler game based on Dota Auto Chess. It is set in the same universe as League of Legends.

On Windows and macOS, it is available as a game mode in League of Legends but exists as an independent game on Android and iOS. As of March 2021, the game had more than 80 million players worldwide.

TFT: Teamfight Tactics pits eight players against one another. Players are to place their units strategically on a hexagonal battlefield before the start of each round. They have to progress in stages with each stage comprising of three rounds.

But according to recent reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) from TFT: Teamfight Tactics players, the game seems to be crashing on both Android as well as iOS.

Reinstalling the game and clearing the data and cache is not helping either. Below are some of the reports shared by TFT: Teamfight Tactics users affected by the crashing issue.

Many are frustrated and angry since they are unable to play TFT: Teamfight Tactics because of the game constantly crashing on the menu screen.

Thankfully, the developers seem to be aware of the problem and said that they are currently trying to find a solution. However, there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

We’re aware of an issue causing crashes on Mobile and are currently working on a solution. Apologies for any inconvenience.

We hope the TFT: Teamfight Tactics development team finds out the root cause of the issue and fixes it as soon as possible since the game is unplayable for mobile players right now.

Update 1 (February 04)

12:36 pm (IST): Teamflight Tactics has confirmed that a fix has been released for the crashing issue. This means that the players should now be able to enjoy the game as usual.

Update 2 (March 31)

10:25 am (IST): Many TFT players are now reporting crashing issues with the game. Those affected have taken to Twitter and Reddit (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to raise their complaints.

Unfortunately, the game maker has not yet acknowledged this issue. However, we will keep tabs on the latest developments and inform you as and when anything noteworthy comes up.

06:57 pm (IST): Riot Games on Twitter has confirmed that they have resolved the crashing issue in TFT mobile.

Update 3 (July 14)

12:44 pm (IST): Many TFT: Teamfight Tactics players are again reporting (1, 2, 3) crashing issues with the game.

Luckily, TFT support has acknowledged the issue and said that they are currently investigating it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the fix.

06:33 pm (IST): TFT support on Twitter has now informed players that they have released an update on Android to fix the crashing issue.

We’ve deployed an update on Android that should resolve the crashes we saw popping up earlier. Be sure to fully close out the game, update the app, then get back on the Convergence! (Source)

Update 4 (November 17, 2022)

11:44 am (IST): According to reports, some TFT players are now facing crashing issues with the game on their iOS devices. Those affected have taken to Twitter (1,2,3,4) to raise their complaints.

Update 5 (November 18, 2022)

09:40 am (IST): Teamfight Tactics support has acknowledged the issue where players were facing crashing issues after the recent patch. While the team is working on a fix, they recommended players against opening the dragon tooltip as it’s potentially causing the crashing.

While we continue to monitor crashes, we are aware that many persistent crashes are related to opening the dragon tooltip. We recommend avoiding doing so for the time being.
