[Updated] Amazon Prime Day 'EGCPRIME22' code not working for many, but there's a potential workaround

Who doesn’t love getting some sweet deals when shopping for stuff? Well, this is why Amazon Prime Day sale is one of the best days to pick up some cool gadgets, appliances, or just about anything at a discounted price.

Apart from discounts on products, Amazon also usually throws in some extra savings in the form of coupon codes.

This time around, customers can use the ‘EGCPRIME22’ coupon code when purchasing a $50 gift card during the Amazon Prime Day sale to avail $12.50 in promo credit, but many have reported that it is not working.

We’ve added some reports from individuals who couldn’t get the code to work:

There are two codes to try GCPRIME22 and EGCPRIME22. As of right now the codes arent working for me. I called Amazon and there is apparently an issue with the codes and they are working on it (Source)

That said, some users have found an alternative coupon code with the same benefits and many have confirmed that this code worked for them.

According to reports, using the code ‘GCPRIME22’ on checkout does the trick instead of ‘EGCPRIME22’.

Another thing to keep in mind if the Amazon Prime Day ‘EGCPRIME22’ code is not working for you is that this code is only available for Prime members.

Furthermore, you may receive the credit within 2 days of purchasing the gift card. Therefore, don’t expect to see the $12.50 credit right away.
