[Update: July 6] Mediacom Internet/cable down and not working: Outage leaves users complaining

It looks like Internet provider Mediacom is currently suffering an outage of sorts. Specifically, users of Mediacom Internet are taking to social media platforms to share the service is down at the moment.

Here are some reports:

In addition, there are reports of the Mediacom cable being down as well. A quick look at the Down Detector Outage map reveals the service is experiencing problems in several parts of the US.

For its part, the company has issued an advisory that says the outages are being worked on.


Meanwhile, here’s a helpful reply posted at Mediacom customer help website:

Update 1 (October 29)

11:19 am (IST): Mediacom services are reportedly having issues as there is an ongoing reported outage. Downdetector also shows an increase in outage reports.

Update 2 (April 15)

10:56 am (IST): Fresh user reports on Downdetector suggest that Mediacom is currently down or not working for many users. Unfortunately, support hasn’t yet acknowledged this outage.

Update 3 (April 16)

05:37 pm (IST): A report on Downdetector suggests that the recent outage with Mediacom is now resolved.

Update 4 (April 18)

11:04 am (IST): Many users have taken to Downdetector to report that Mediacom is again currently down or not working for them.

Update 5 (April 20)

10:55 am (IST): There appears to have been a sudden spike in the number of reports on Downdetector from users who appear to be facing issues with Mediacom’s internet services.

There’s no official acknowledgment regarding the outage yet. However, it’s likely that it will be resolved sooner rather than later.

Update 6 (June 3)

11:38 am (IST): Fresh user reports on Twitter and Dowdetector suggest that Mediacom is currently down or not working for many.

06:56 pm (IST): It seems that the recent outage with Mediacom has now been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports on Downdetector.

Update 7 (July 6)

11:00 am (IST): Multiple user reports (1, 2, 3, 4) now suggest that Mediacom is currently down or not working for many. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.

And while Mediacom support previously said that the outage was resolved, they have confirmed in the recent acknowledgment that the issue re-occurred. Moreover, they are working to restore the service.

06:38 pm (IST): Mediacom support on Twitter has now confirmed that the recent outage with their service has now been resolved.
